Kaleb Van Adelrik:
Certified Assistance Dog

Johnathan en Kaleb: Partners for life.

This is JOHNATHAN who lives in the small coastal town of Jacksonville on the east coast of North Carolina in the USA. He is mobility as well as hearing impaired. To help him further in his life he will be receiving an assistance dog which is trained to i.e. open doors, pick up things, react to all sounds etc. The dog is also taught to pull his wheelchair. The dog that will assist him for the coming years is KALEB van ADELRIK , one of our breedings from the following sire and dam: Cay van Gerjo X Borea van Adelrik . At this moment the dog is still in training, but in November he will go permanently to Johnathan. The training of this dog is in the good hands of Judi Mullen.

All information regarding this topic is provided by Johnathan and is also published with his permission. This article will be illustrated with pictures of Johnathan and his partner as he describes Kaleb in the roles.
With this article we hope to give you a good and realistic view of the German Shepherd Dog as a service-dog in everyday situations. It also proves again the many different abilities of this breed in general.
